On October 30, Young Professionals in Transportation (YPT) hosted an event with the US DOT. The Washington D.C. evening event was broadcasted nationally with the goal of sharing insights and receiving feedback on the "30-Year Plan: A Framework for the Future."
Peter Rogoff, the Under Secretary for Policy at US DOT (a.k.a., number three), spoke at the beginning of the discussion expressing his enthusiasm for the next generation’s involvement in shaping the Department’s vision. Surprise surprise! He mentions Josie Kressner's GMU Outside the Box award and the work we are doing here to improve the data used in transportation planning. Thank you for the shout out Peter.
(The talk begins at 1:06:13. Peter Rogoff mentions Transport Foundry at 1:27:38.)
